What age did your baby begin drinking 5floz?

Just that. My DD is 5 weeks old tomorrow and has been drinking near enough 5floz for about a week now! It seems like a lot but she’s happy drinking it and doesn’t throw it back up but I worry I’m over feeding her, if that’s even possible. I feel she’ll be on 6floz by next week or the week after as she very nearly finishing the 5floz I’m giving her.

What’s your thoughts?

My dd was about 5 weeks when she started taking 5oz and it's gradually went up. Ds was about 3 or 4 months, he's nearly 1 year old and has never taken any more than 5oz at a time. He still wakes up for at least 1 feed, usually 2 during the night.

Have you tried the hungry baby milk? May help her feel more full without you worrying you're over feeding!

Mine were probably about the same age, although my niece is 5 weeks old and drinking 8oz bottles

How often is she taking them?

My baby was 4-5 weeks. We had to take him to the paediatric until at the hospital last week as he was very unsettled. The doctor advised all babies should take 150ml for kg of weight so my was about 3oz. He gave me a right good bollocking. Yet the midwife said if he is still hungry to feed him. I told the doctor there is no way he would accept 3oz. We agreed on 4oz for now and to be honest hes much more settled, sleeps like a dream and dosent have too many tummy issues. I'll tell you what though, when I first reduced his bottle to 4oz my god did he notice that missing 1oz it was like a war zone. My advise if feed what your baby needs. Not all babies are the same, my nephews were 10lb babies and were drinking 9oz by 3-4 weeks and neither are over weight. The only reason I dropped oz amount was got tummy issues otherwise he would be on 5 or 6oz. X

My 6 week old is drinking that and I worry I’m over feeding him but he’s so hungry that it’s been impossible to feed him much less
