What is this rash?

Hi all. One year old DD has had patches of dry/red skin on her cheeks for about a week now. It doesn’t appear to be itchy or painful, or to be bothering her. She doesn’t have it anywhere else, and seems perfectly happy and normal. I did think teething as she has been drooling and chewing, but no sign of any new teeth yet! I have tried putting Sudocreme on but it doesn’t appear to be doing much.

Thank you Smile

My 18 month old is prone to dry skin on his cheeks every so often. I use Aveeno moisturiser after the bath and it usually clears up in a couple of days.

Looks a bit like baby eczema. Try one of the eczema creams they sell at the chemist or supermarket.

I second aveeno! Doesn't look like anything more than a bit of dry skin. Your dd is beautiful.

I wouldn't worry about the rash if it isn't bothering her. Probably just a bit of dry skin.

Your DD is beautiful.

Thank you all Smile It doesn’t bother her at all, she’ll let me touch it to put cream on it ect.

My son had that . It was a teething rash . He wasn’t bothered by it at all . It came and went for a few months . I tried a few creams recommended by my health visitor but nothing treated it . I wasn’t too bothered about it though until it got worse and his skin was cracking .

I then got a recommendation to try Aquaphor. It’s actually a nappy rash cream . It took it away entirely. I highly recommend it !
