Any tips

Since schools have closed down my 5 year old daughter isn't sleeping when she should be.

If it was a school night she would be in bed by 7pm and out of it.
Now school has been closed she is fighting to go sleep. Despite reading books as normal.

Any suggestions Smile

Is she sleeping in later? If so it might just be that she's not as tired as usual.

Do you have a routine in place throughout the day? If not it might be that she's restless (totally natural in this situation), if you do it she might need a bit more active time (again not easy right now!).

Of course, it could also just be that she needs less sleep now and/or is feeling a bit overwhelmed by the change in routine and daily life.

@yatapina

She doesn't sleep during the afternoon as that stopped about 3 years ago.
She is very active during the day as we are constantly playing,dancing, exercising.
Routine is dinner by 5:30, bath by 6:30 and bedtime book and sleep.

Maybe it's because she is growing up

Ah no, sorry I meant getting up later in the morning!

Maybe just getting into a new routine - my 7 year old gradually moved her bedtime to 7.45pm naturally over the past 18 months or so.

@yatapina
Oh sorry I misread what you said. No she is still waking up early. Sometimes it can be 6am or 7am

If nice her bedtime back by half an hour for a few days and see if that helps.
