Toddler sensitive to warm food

Hi everyone,

Just wondering if this is normal for a toddler. My son is 19 months old and won't eat a food without me blowing on it to cool it down if it's even a tiiiiiny bit hotter than warm. Obviously I would never give him anything hot enough to actually be hot. I think it might be an attention thing as he likes me and his daddy to blow on his food and his milk cup Hmm and then will eat it but I do think he is a bit sensitive to it.

He also hates washing his hands in anything more than ever so slightly warmer than cold water. And picks up on any surface that's warm (for instance he kept going over to our garden chair which was warm to touch from the sun and saying hot). I am guessing this is just a toddler experimenting with new words and new sensations?! But thought I would check - it's the food thing more I was wondering about. Thanks!!

Totally normal here, prefers it cold if possible. Daughter is now 3 and the exact same.
