DS is 3 weeks today. Around 9lb now. He’s feeding every 2-3 hours and taking between 2 and 5oz. Feeding on demand. But when you add up what he takes in a day it’s more than what the tub says/the 2.5 x lbs rule. Taking 28-32oz a day!

HV said I can’t over feed him at this stage but I don’t want to make him too chunky (I’ve had massive issues with my weight).

He was last weighed at 16 days and was following his centile line nicely for all weigh ins up to then but I’m still worried.

Is this okay?

First time mum ... sorry if it’s a silly question

Yes, it's fine especially as he's tracking along his centile, please try not to worry.

If hes following the line that feed what he wants. My son was born on the 91st centille, he was a proper milk guzzler from the start and never wavered off his line. He was a big baby without doubt but now as a 2 and a half year old toddler hes averaged out and theres barely any fat left on him

Yes absolutely fine - my DS was the same. The guidelines on the tub barely ever resembled what DS consumed, he’s 1 now.

Absolutely fine my little lad is the exact same and following his centile line just fine also 😊 continue to feed him On demand and it will even out to a nice routine that is right for him
