Ok, first things first, don’t laugh at meBlush.

Would it work if I was to get a sleep consultant for my DD who is just 4 weeks or would that be absolutely ridiculous?

Crazy!! Enjoy the sleepy cuddles while you can, my 3rd (and last!) is nearly 7 months and I’m making the most of it Smile my older ones are 5 and 3, fall asleep independently and sleep for 12/13 hours each night so please don’t worry you’re making a rod for your own back!

Ludicrous and Ridiculous - hope that helps!

Not laughing, the first months with a baby are grim but it would be ridiculous, they change so much and 4 weeks is tiny. At this age anything goes, they don't form habits and I think sleep consultation for babies this small is just a money making scam.

Would you like some snake oil to rub on your baby too? Grin

In all seriousness, I'm sorry that you're struggling with sleep but that's newborns unfortunately. It does get better (and then probably worst, and then better, worse again but better in the end).

completely ridiculous. 4 weeks old is so tiny

Cool. Thanks for the answers. I figured it would be ridiculous but just wanted to check after some sleep consultants offer packages and they state “from newborn to 3 years” bla bla bla.
