Reusable nappies - first use advice

Our tots bots bamboozles just arrived and looking for a bit of advice....

It says to wash them 2 or 3 times for maximum absorption:

  • Can I use them within this time or do I need to do this before first use?
  • Do they need to dry in between washes or can I do three washes back to back?
  • i dont have washing powder in at the moment. Can I use liquid detergent until I get some or will it damage them.

If you want to wash 3 times you don't need to dry in between..
You can also just wash once..dry and change sooner..saves all the extra washes..
I personally use tiny bit of powder when washing new nappies but I think you can just wash without any if you don't have any powder at the moment..
I wouldn't use liquid personally as it's not recommended for cloth nappies..

I would use detergent the first wash just to get rid of the chemicals. You don't need to dry in between washes. You can also leave them in water overnight to help with absorbency.

Ace thanks.

I also read something about folding the booster pad in half so it is all at front for boys.... is that true or rubbish?

Yes you can do that for extra absorbency at the front, just give it a go and see how you get on x

Depends on how old your baby/ toddler is. For a newborn I wouldn't bother, but an older baby/toddler, you might, need to.

Yes op fold the booster at the front for boys as they get older , you might not need to straight away. Boys wee does go more to the front than girls
