Hi everybody. Hope you're all well 😊 my little boy is 19 months old and always slept in sleeping bags however every day this week hes unpopped the poppers and got out. Ive tried a duvet but he just screams the place down at bed time with a duvet 😢 I really don't know what to do as just at 22:25 hes got out of it and I don't wanna have to wake him to do it back up 😭 any tips anybody? X

Maybe I'm being thick, but can't you just leave him? If he's happy in his bag, but undoes it as its his new trick, what's the problem? Just throw the duvet over him, no need to wake him.

I’d just cover him with a duvet tonight and order some sleeping bags with zips. My 17 month dd can open the ones with poppers but not the zip up ones

I just started DD with a duvet 2 nights ago. She's 2.5 years and we also converted her cot to a bed at the same time. We let her play in it loads during the day and kept telling her that she'd sleep in there at night. It might be different because she is that much older. She was fine and loves her grown up bed. We also bought in the night garden sheets which helped!

Would he have a blanket instead? My DS will only go to sleep with a blanket but I cover him over with a duvet when I go up to bed.

My 15 month old has a quilt now because he keeps weeing through his clothes and through his sleeping bag almost every night. It’s easier if I just have to change the sheet. He often wriggles out of it but he doesn’t seem too bothered. I always make sure he wears a short sleeved vest and baby grow to bed so he stays warm. Any tips on how to prevent the nappy leaks? 😂

Slumber sac or jojo sleep snuggles don't have poppers. Had to go over to them with ds at about 18 months for the same reason, quickly had to put them on backwards as he learnt to unzip them.

@Angharad07
We ditched the vest as it was causing compression leaks and I change DS' nappy at about 11pm before I go to bed - he's always been a heavy wetter at night.

@thatbloodybear the only problem I'm having is he's climbing out then crying because he's cold x

I have the answer! If you want to continue with bags... Get one with a central zip down the front, no poppers. Much better...
