What age can babies start drinking tap water?

My DS will be 12 months old tomorrow and I am wondering when I can stop boiling his water.

There are so many different answers online so I though I'd ask other parents how old your baby was when you started giving them water straight from the tap.

I gave it at 6 months when she started drinking water in general

6 months with their food

I started giving tap water at 6 months.

I did 6 months too when she started solid food.

Water for formula always boiled.
Tap water, unboiled, given from weaning at 6 months in an open cup - so it never sat around..

6 months.

Question is answered so all that's left is to say happy birthday to your son!
