It's part of a form to fill in for school - what is it? I have translated it literally as entitled to education!

Thanks

Deb

basically it means rules for the parents as far as i can make out from this definition on wikipidia copied and pasted above.

It's between telephone number and address, and there's a space to write something.

It means the person who is looking after the child. In English you would find "parent or carer" on the form.

Deb -

The "Erziehungsberechtigter" is the person with parental powers or the person responsible for the upbringing of a minor, i.e. generally the child's parent or guardian.

SSSandy2 · 10/09/2007 19:37

So you could fill in "mother" for instance in the case of a single parent or in your case maybe "both parents".
