Sorry if this is in the wrong place! So far I’ve had people tell me this is just an “angels kiss” that is harmless and will disappear, to google suggesting it could be a hemangioma that will ultimately grow and deform him given location! I’m scared! Given the current timing and situation I’m not going to the GP. Has anyone else’s little one had this?

Hi! My 9 week old was born with a hemangioma right next to her bum in a horrible place! I showed my health visitor this as it was in a difficult place. It started to ulcer where it had started to get bigger with the skin being so delicate there. I made an appointment with my doctor who referred me to Paediatric ward at my hospital, where she's been put onto propranolol 3 times a day, where she'll be on this until it's completely cleared it up and have got rid of it. They do eventually disappear on their own, but this medication speeds the process up and prevents it getting any bigger. I would definitely let your GP know about it, too see what they saySmile hope this helps x

Hiya! I’m just unsure at the moment as we are all self isolating here. Did yours look like this to start with? It wasn’t this dark when he was born, infact it was barely noticeable
