Is my 8 month old napping to much?

Hi everyone! My 8 1/2 month old is napping from. 10 till 12 in the morning and going back down between 2-3 till 4-5. This is on average 4/5 hours a day. She is also sleeping from. 7-6.30 sometimes 7. Is this okay or is she sleeping too much. She is also teething at present with her first 2 bottom teeth coming through. She's always been a good sleeper I'm just concerned if she may be having too much? Thanks for any advice xx

I have an 8 month old, in quite jealous ! As long as it’s not affecting night sleep it’s fine. Enjoy !

Babies are very good at regulating their own sleep
There is no such thing as too much sleep for a baby

If she's sleeping it's because she needs to. Teething and growth spurts can both result in the need for extra sleep. Perfectly normal.

Thank you so much for all your replies. What you all say makes sense to me. I've had conflicting information from a friend who said i Should wake her up. Glad that you guys have settled this for me. Xx

God no, don't wake her. She's a baby and sleeps because she needs to. What daft advice.

Dd used to do this at that age, slept 7-7, napped 9-11 and again 2-4 like clockwork. Was a dream!

Totally fine! My little one was the same, a 2 hour morning nap and then 2 hour after noon nap plus 12 hours at night.

At about 15 months he dropped one nap and had one 2 hour nap between 12-2.

Enjoy the time to yourself, have a cup of tea in peace you deserve it.
