Sleeved bibs with no plastic backing?

We're starting to wean DD and I would like a few sleeved bibs for her to use for BLW. Our house is really warm and I get a sweat on just thinking about the terry bibs with the pvc backing, which are all I can find online. I know pure cotton ones do exist because DSis bought some from Mothercare (RIP) last year which were excellent.

I have seen these from John Lewis which make no mention of the plastic backing but I think (?) I recall seeing them in store and discounting them for having the plastic.

Anyone have any recommendations for my sweaty baby?

They do- I've got them. The backing isn't on the arms, just the tummy bit. I don't find they make mine too hot - what I did find with the unbacked ones is that liquid soaked through onto whatever was underneath so they were not really all that helpful. (At least not once mine discovered the pourable qualities of any liquid e.g. water in a sippy cup.)
Not answering question...
Seemingly mothercare brand will be available through boots soon so maybe they'll stock them again?

Marks and Spencer - terry fabric, wash well. All mine are now being used for baby number 2

Bibetta do a good neoprene sleeved or sleeveless bib. Never seen anything soak through, no plastic, just wet suit like bib and then thinner sleeves.
They dry quite quickly, roll up well for putting in bag, have a little pocket for droppages too.

I've got a few from my first that have started to disintegrate a little inside so have bought more for DC2.

Bibado bibs are amazing !

I have some from NEXT, without the plastic back.

TheCraicDealer · 25/03/2020 18:33

Thanks to everyone that responded! Smile Ikea have none, Marksies had some last season but they're now out of stock, and seemingly the Bibado bibs have plastic sleeves now instead of the raglan. There's a potential go-er on NEXT which I might just go for as it's only £7 or something.

I wish I could say that spending numerous hours researching bibs was due to lockdown boredom but tbh this is just my life now.

Mumtoaperfectbabyboy · 25/03/2020 20:36

Morrisons do them.

ProseccoLimoncello · 25/03/2020 22:21

I highly recommended these. they are sort of plasticy but very moveable & thin and my kids have not been hot in them. They don’t let liquids through & go in the washing machine.
