Other people feeding my child

Hi
I am looking for some advice.
When we visit my other half’s family they always feed our 18 months old all the time with snacks despite me asking them to not give too many as then affect meals but I get taken no notice off & they continue feeding her
She then doesn’t eat her dinner as full & then wakes up in the night starving
I don’t know how else to say/ask them not to feed her Too much without sounding rude
Help

Is this a regular thing?

If so, you'll just have to be a firmer.

Tbh you probably wont be seeing the in laws much for the foreseeable future so I wouldnt get too worked up about it.

Similarly if you only see them once a fortnight or something I wouldnt get worked up about it. But if they're caring for her twice a week then it might be worth bringing it up with them.

I wouldn’t worry about saying anything now since visiting family isn’t currently a thing recommended

But yes once the social distancing is over I would ask hubby to speak with them

This really isn’t something to be worried about right now given you should be social distancing and not socialising with the in laws. When you do see them again, which could be months, and assuming that they can still get their hands on all these snacks, just be firmer and say no.
