Baby sleep books

Can anyone recommend a good book that they’ve tried and tested themselves to get baby into a sleep routine? She’s 16 days old right now. I know she’s still young and may need to wait a bit but just want some recommendations Smile

We tried Gina ford and hated it, got on much better with the baby whisperer.

Congratulations on your new baby

I’ve heard a few people talk about Gina Ford but when I read reviews on her books, people are saying that she refers to babies as digestive systemsHmm and apparently she has no children herself? I’m open to trying what works though! Will look into the baby whisperer too.

Thank youSmile

This is the best I read, for night time and establishing naps and achieving a routine:

They all lie 😂 I got the gentle sleep book which helps when there is no sleep as it sort of normalises this. Just get ready for the unexpected. My baby developed eczema at 5 weeks, there hasn't been any sleep since and we are 9mo tomorrow.

Ferber method. Excellent

The Gentle Sleep Book is brilliant.

It will explain to you exactly what you can (and more importantly can’t) expect from a baby in turns of sleep. I found it a really reassuring read when I got stressed with my twins sleep.

Your baby is so tiny though. He/she won’t be in any sort of routine for quite some time. Please look into the potentially harmful effects of most sleep training methods before you decide to go down that route.
