Baby with a cough - advice please

Hi all, my DD is 5 months old and had a little cold around 10 days ago, runny nose, eyes, clingy etc. It cleared up but she was left with a bit of a cough, was a bit worse in the morning which I could understand as put it down to post nasal drip and the fact she cant cough anything up to clear things the way we might.
Long story short, as of yesterday the cough seems to have worsened a bit. Coughing more day and night. No temperature and she's not overly upset by it or anything. Wet and dirty nappies still as normal. Feeding reasonably well. Just sounding a bit wheezy (nothing too dramatic) random.not sure what to do.
I have a feeling if I call the doctor there will be very little they can do, and given everything else that's going on, it's just a bit if a worry.
I'm going to stay at home for 14 days, as much as this isn't a 'new' cough, just as a precaution.
I'm a first time mum so this is my first baby cough experience so really just looking for guidance from other mums who are more used to dealing with poorly babies. Thanks!

If she's wheezy I'd talk to 111 which is the normal advice anyway, regardless of the pandemic Smile

Thanks @JiltedJohnsJulie I did speak to the doctor this afternoon so not overly concerned. I just wish there was something I could do to help her clear her chest / cough up! I've put water on all the radiators in rooms she spends time in and have started taking her into the bathroom while I shower incase the steam helps loosen things up.
If anyone has any other suggestions, please share. Thanks!

I had been using snufflebabe on her chest @2beautifulbabs but more when she had a stuffy nose, haven't tried it since for the lingering cough so will give that another go.
I do put some on a muslin tied to the end of her cot though.
I also tried the saline drops again yesterday even though the nasal congestion seems to be long gone.
I didnt realise there were cough medicines available for babies. I'll take a look! Thanks

I think the cough medicines for babies are fairly useless(or so a doctor told me), it’s just glycerin.

Have you tried raising the head of her cot/crib? Put some bricks or thick books under the top end.

We’ve also found the calpol plug ins good for a cough as well as a stuffy nose. Carry on with the snuggle babe, I’ve heard putting it in their feet is effective, odd as it sounds.
