DS2 has spent all the summer months playing with the girl across the road. They play together so well, never argue or bicker.

Now ds2's friend from school has been allowed to come and seek him. His mum takes ds2 to school for me on the days I work.

The easiest thing would be for them all to play together but no..... the school friend wants ds2 to go to his house and play on the gameboy all day. Ds2 plays enough on the gameboy and I much prefer him to be outside playing on bikes etc.

The school friend is persistently knocking on the door, ds2 is being forced into choosing. Sometimes when he comes around, I say he is out (which he is with the girl across the road) but then he tries to hunt him down, hiding behind trees and cars to stalk him down. However my rule is that if the dcs are playing with someone they can't just leave them when someone better comes along.

I am counting down the days for the dark nights to come

Since you rely on the mum to take your ds to school maybe you should do a PR exercise and invite the kid over to play with your ds.

Does ds like the kid?
