Hi, just passing through looking for somebody who is starting a course in November like me (DS871). Thought I would congratulate you on finishing the final TMA. An enormous relief isn't it. I hope the exam goes well. I am guessing you have 5 or 6 weeks to go?

niceglasses · 09/09/2007 16:37

Yes, am doing 316 - 19th cent novel?

Also got stuff on Friday. Been reading wrong novel!!! Thought I would make a start on Middlemarch as sooooooo long, but first TMA on Austen or Bronte.

Lot of reading, but should be good.

Well done for finishing your TMA. Feels lovely doesn't it?

You're doing A217??

Me too!!

I should be doing my last TMA now

Can't say I would recommend it tho'

Which option, did you do? I'm (supposed to be ) doing the authority one

Can't beleive I've missed you on this and the course is nearly finihsed!

prettypurpledaisy · 09/09/2007 18:53

I did the authority one just for exam practice really as i avoided it on the hinduism tma.
I have really enjoyed the course but that may be because I hated the previous one on english language. I have been very lucky to have a fantastic tutor for this one.
Dreading exam really don't think I will know enough to pass but iI can but try.
Let me know how you get on with the final tma, good luck.

What are you revising for the exam?

My tutor has advised us to choose two for material culture and two different ones for authority, so that we can show that we have a broad range of knowledge.

Not sure about this, I'm going to do Islam definitley for material culture as there is a lot to do about them not allowing representations of Mohammed, Christianity seems the 'easy option' for both.

Other than that I'm not sure, if I do Sikhism as well for authority, which would be good as there is a whole section in the book onit, this only cobvers three religions instead of the five she has talked about

prettypurpledaisy · 12/09/2007 19:17

Not sure yet, have been doing general look at material culture across the board and sikhism, I have a study day in Croydon on 22nd hopefully this will bring it all together, think I may do Christianity and Judaism in depth with abit of hinduism thrown in, depends on energy levels and time!!
beginning to panic
