This is my first time on here. Really just wondering whether anybody has been in a similar situation to me.
I'm a dad of two little girls, a four year old and a two year old. Our four year old has always been really well behaved, we couldn't really have asked for an easier first child.
Over the last couple of weeks something has changed though, she is still the same for her mum and we've asked at her nursery and they say she's had no change in behavior but for some reason around me she has completely changed. She is VERY quick to have a tantrum, by which I mean a complete meltdown, which can lead to hours of screaming, squeeling, hitting etc over the smallest of things. This seems to always happen on saturday and sunday mornings when I am home, and it happens if I pick her up from nursery as well. It is like a switch has flipped and suddenly she just doesn't want to be around me.
I am finding it is really stressing me out because (a) I feel like the close bond I had with my little girl has gone (b) I'm concerned about what has triggered this change in behaviour and (c)she squeels and screams and causes our next door neighbour to bang on the walls and complain to our landlord and I don't know how to calm her down.
