My baby is bottle fed Is it correct you don’t need to swap to follow on milk at 6 months?

Yes you dont need to swap at 6 months

DesLynamsMoustache · 09/03/2020 22:06

Yep no need to swap. However they do sometimes offer special deals on the follow-on milk that they're not allowed to on infant first milk, even though it's pretty much the same, so you can sometimes save a bit of money that way.

An advertising tool. Formula companies aren't allowed to promote milk for babies under 6 months, so they made follow-on milk so they can advertise it.

As Des says. Not necessary at all.

Oly4 · 09/03/2020 22:17

totally unnecessary. Cow’s milk and a vitamin do the same thing

Spam88 · 09/03/2020 22:18

Cow's milk isn't recommended as a drink under 12 months oly

Follow on was invented as you cant advertise first milk. You dont need to switch but I did around 9 months as it was cheaper and you could get offers on it.

Cows milk isnt suitable as the main drink until 1 year
