Am I worrying over nothing?

My 8 year old has had a temp and headache since Friday at school when I picked her up she said she'd not been well in school. Anyway over the weekend her temp was increasing and only came down with ibuprofen. Anyway today her temp returned to normal but I kept her off to make sure she was fully recovered but then today out of the blue she was sick Everywhere when she hadn't even felt sick all the time she had a temp and then straight after complained she has pain in her side so my first reaction was panic thinking appendicitis. Made a doctors appointment and got in straight away and she examined her and said she wasn't tender to touch as she let him examine her so said do a urine sample and the receptionist will send it off to check for urine infection and result will come 2-3 days later. But now I'm worried thinking her appendix as burst now because it says online that once pain has subsided it's a sigh its burst and because it came out of the blue when it appeared she was getting better has worried me. Am I worrying over nothing ?
Surely If it was a stomach bug she would have felt sick from the start whilst having the temp and not just today?
