TTC but not sure it’s the right time?

As title really.. We are trying to conceive but I’m not sure it’s the right time? We are looking at houses and part of me thinks we should have bought the bigger house and moved in before we think about children. We are both doing well at work, and my partner is looking at a promotion soon. I think the new house is a sticking point? Should we just wait?

I don't think there will ever be a right time to have a baby! They throw dynamite into the middle of your life.

You can move while you're pregnant. You can even move with a newborn. If you're looking now, there's plenty of time.

A baby will most likely impact on your partner's work ethic for a short while. If you're doing well at work, a baby will impact your career.

Unfortunately, no one can make the decision for you and it's not an easy one to make. I put an arbitrary age deadline on it and had a baby 5 months before that because I was worried about putting it off for too long.

You might want to consider that it could take a while to get pregnant. So even if you start today you may not be holding a baby within the year!
But if you are under no particular time pressure due to age and the number of children you want there's probably no great rush.
