Just wondering if there were any others around? Anyone know of any online support forums ect? Pre kids managed just fine. Since having a toddler never felt so autistic.

hello. yes.

I didn't get my diagnosis till DC 6yo so can't comment on toddler phase (I mean, it was very difficult and I was depressed and sleep deprived and I didn't have a lens of understanding it in the context of autism at the time, I just had to survive it).

I am finding the process of assessments for whether DC has autism really hard. I have no idea what normal looks like and for so many questions the answer is "yes he does that but that's normal for me so is he just learning from me?". it's making me feel more inadequate than ever.

Knowing what's normal really is a puzzle! I get fed up of thinking about it at times. Pre kids I didn't have a diagnosis. I had all my own coping methods.

I might be but who knows. School p1 have flagged my son up to having issues. Most I don't see at home or any where else. Starting to think mabye I'm autistic or adhd or something that's why I think he's normal!? Who knows!
