Calpol how often

My DD has been teething badly for the past couple of nights so have been giving her calpol and using bonjela. It says on the back only to give for 2 days but we tried without last night and she was up and down all night, so can she have it every night if she’s bad? Help for an exhausted mama Sad

Can you ring your HV for advice?

I dib't think it's actually dangerous to use for longer, but I'd check with someone you know to be qualified to give that sort of advice

Is she just having at night? So not the maximum dosage throughout the day too? How old is she?

Check with the pharmacist, but I don't think 1 dose a night for a few nights is going to do much harm.

I think the 2 day advice is to avoid a situation where a child is ill with something serious and the parents give them Calpol for days on end, inadvertently masking the symptoms and delaying getting medical care. If you know the issue is teething rather than your DD actually being unwell I shouldn't think it would be harmful, esp as PPs have said if you're not giving the max dose per day.
