Hi , baby gaviscon says 1 sachet in 4 oz of formula.

What would you do if DS is currently moving up to 5oz but doesnt always finish them?

I'd see how you go. For some babies 1 would still be enough but if he doesn't seem comfortable or goes back to being sick you could try 1 and 1/2 or 2. DS has 2 sachets in 8oz.

We used the infant gaviscon sachets.

I would have used the 1 sachet.

Whe I used it for my dd I was told by my gp to go by her weight.
If You're unsure check with the doctor Smile

@gottopicklepockle you're right! Completely forgot because DS is a tank. It's based on weight. Check with your doctor because he's probably heavier now than when he was diagnosed.

My DS had the infant gaviscon sachets. I used one sachet in 5oz and he was fine with it, didn't have any symptoms come back. Once he was on 6oz I increased to 1.5 sachets.

DropYourSword · 05/03/2020 02:02

It will be slightly more diluted but should still be ok.

(Are you using the gaviscon for silent reflux? If so, you have my total sympathy. My son had that and it was just awful)

SleepingStandingUp · 05/03/2020 02:12

It will be fine. Trying to do 1 1/4 sachets will drive you potty. I'd only up it for 6 oz then 8 oz
