Dummy vs Thumb!

We introduced a dummy at the age of about 3 months, only for nap times and bedtimes. We also sometimes use it in the car when she gets upset. Recently she’s been sucking her thumb and fingers in they day. She loves her dummy to go to sleep, but the past few weeks she has woken and cried lots; every time it starts with her wanting her dummy. I’m pretty sure she’s getting dependant on me putting it back in for her. I’m happy for her to suck her thumb if that soothes her, but she doesn’t seem to find/want her thumb at night. Does anyone have any advice on a good nights sleep here, or a way to encourage her with the thumb at night.
She’s been a very good sleeper until this and at the moment doesn’t need to be rocked, walked, driven etc to get to sleep. I’m concerned that at night when she cries, I’m now soothing her with rocking and she’ll become dependent on that.

Could I also add that now she has started pushing the dummy out of her mouth to get her fingers in, but then cries 20 minutes later because she doesn’t have the dummy...
