Baby wakes too early

My 11 month baby wakes at 4am for a feed. Not sure if it is a need or a want but will not settle unless I give him a bottle. Once he has had a bottle, he will go down but then wakes at 5am and wont go back to sleep.

Any help to either stop the 4am feed but still get him to settle or just get him to sleep longer. Even 6am is acceptable.

Ah we just had to brave it out with dd2. She was taking too many calories through the night and wasn’t eating much through the day.

So we spent a horrible few nights just offering water and trying to settle her when she was crying.

It was really hard but we stuck with it and she started eating lots more through the day.

We then did wake to sleep method to get past that 4am habit.

It’s where you gently disturb them about 15 mins before they are due to wake up (so start checking the time when she wakes up) and they go back in to another sleep cycle. Be really careful you don’t actually wake them up though! Just a rub on the back did dd.

This lasted about four nights.

You might have to suck up the 5am wake up for a bit but you would have the clear run through the night.

It did work though and I really recommend wake to sleep.

Good luck!!
