Wrong formula to water ratio

Hi,

We have a perfect prep machine and have accidentally ended up giving DS 5 scoops of formula in 4oz water as dial was changed earlier when wiping it down.

Will this cause any issues? Should I do anything?

He will be fine and probably sleep well ...full tummy!!

He'll be fine I think everyone has had that dreaded feeling when counting out scoops when you think you've messed up (I know I did)

He should be fine with an occasional mistake like that. I’m sure I’ve done it a few times too. If it happened frequently then it would likely cause constipation and severe dehydration.

We did exactly the same last night! I had pre-measured three 5oz feeds into bottles, but the dial was on 4oz! Not a problem until the 6am feed when some formula clogged the test and I had to do a quick switch of the teat to avoid a major tantrum! I won't make a habit of it, but I'm sure no permanent damage done!

I did this A LOT when I was tired. The amount of bottles I threw down the sink at 2am because I lost count of the scoops was unreal. I also worried a lot that the water-formula ratio wasnt right (I thought the prep machine was overfilling for ages but I never accounted for the formula volume Blush). But, making the odd mistake is fine. Baby will be perfectly ok. Dont worry!
