Coconut oil on baby's skin

I was recommended coconut oil for baby massage and his dry skin. My dad has brought some back from co-op, but now I'm not sure if it's baby suitable. It mentions baking, roasting and spreading (!) but none of the other applications of coconut oil. Is it all safe as moisturiser, or do I need a more expensive grade? Thanks.

We’ve been using coconut oil in the bath instead of bubbles on the advice of our health visitor and our 16 week olds skin is looking great and no nappy rash etc. We were told to get organic extra virgin coconut oil and have been getting it from the food section. Makes their baths lovely (and ours too)- I’m a convert!!

Coconut oil can be used both in cooking and as a moisturiser.

Its also great for your eyelashes if you mix a little bit in with your mascara.

You should only use the eating version of oils on baby skin as they are far more gentle.
