Baby show london excel - worth it?

So considering going to the baby show at london excel this weekend but tickets are 17 or 22 on the door so seems quite alot as itll be me and my husband going, then by the time you either pay for train tickets or parking it's a £60 / £70 day out!

Has anyone ever been before and found it worth it?

I have a 5 month old I need to buy a cot for so wouldn't mind seeing if they have any there on offer or that we can have a look at in person, but is there much furniture there to look at?

Should think I'd like to listen to the after weaning and first aid talks too and have a browse at other baby bits but getting a deal and looking at cots in person is my main focus.

Is it worth it?

I’ve not been, but you can get a cot in IKEA for under £100 I think, so not sure you’ll make your money back in savings. It might be a nice experience and a chance to look at some cool products, but unless you’re going to buy a hugely expensive pram or something at a massive discount I wouldn’t have thought it’s a place to make savings which justify your travel and entry fee.

I went to the one in Birmingham last year. We saved quite a bit on a pushchair and car seat. I do think this was because we went on the sunday so they were selling the display models. Its great for getting ideas too.

£15.50 each with code EXL7 if you do decide to go then go on last day and buy display if you don't mind that..it's a good day out if you like baby shows..

I went while I was pregnant and enjoyed it as a day out. I also got a really great deal on a breast pump that would have made me the money back on my ticket and travel had I not proceeded to buy a load of other stuff and then stop BF after two weeks! I still don't regret it though.

I went when I was pregnant a couple of years ago and thought it was a disappointment. It was a lot smaller than I thought.
It may have changed now though x

I went for really cheap (I think it was five points ) using Emma’s diary code three years ago.

I was illiterate in baby things. So was nice to go be introduced to different things.

I didn’t buy anything there and then but we got lots of freebies and I ended up buying some things that I was able to compare there.

I wouldn’t go for that price however no. 30 pounds and train tickets m... Naaahhhhhh.

Was a nice experience though.
