The thing is my baby has a habit of rubbing his face vigorously with her hand mittens and then putting it in his eyes and mouth .
I feel concerned what if he gets mupirocin ointment in his eyes or mouth.
Can it cause bad side effects
Or what else harm can this ointment do

What does the leaflet in the box say? Is there advice for what to do if baby ingests some? Id ask your GP, I wouldn't want to rely upon internet randoms for this one.

Ask the pharmacist. They are the expert on medications.
