Started the first episode this evening and it’s fascinating so far. Has anyone seen it?

I've only watched the first episode so far. Very interesting seeing all the babies at different stages of their first year. It could have been an episode of just that and I would have enjoyed it even more.

The scientist segments were educational. But a source of worry. What if my responses to DD have been woefully inadequate, and I've inadvertently caused irreversible brain structural differences.... The straight face experiment even caused a concerned glance between DH and I at one point when they said eventually the babies sucked their thumbs to self soothe. DD is a huge thumb sucker.....

We're about to start weaning, so no doubt episode 2 (Food) will cause some second guessing about when to start and what to start with. At least I bet there's some wonderful shots of gloriously messy babies covered in food.

The babies are adorable. I really should go to bed but hooked watching the food one now. I found weaning hugely stressful and not the exciting milestone I was expecting at all so don’t worry if it’s not as amazing as you hope. She’s a champion eater now but the first week or so was stressful, tiring and worrying!

It’ll make sense when you watch it, but I’m going to drop my cleaning standards even lower now, for the baby’s wellbeing Grin And I’m trying to talk DH into us getting a house rabbit.
