Hi guys,
My 10 months old seems to have an upset tummy. Started about a week ago where her poo’s were normal, looser, harder and then loose stools again. She lost her appetite but got it back within a few days. Her poo’s are still loose and has had a little bit of diarrhoea. Last night she was screaming in pain and I mean inconsolable screaming. We had her in our bed and again, every time we moved or she moved she’d be screaming again. Her tummy was a bit hard and bloated and she seems a bit more gassy than usual so assuming it’s gas pains. This came on SO fast as she was on top form all day right up until bedtime where she was tossing and turning, crunching her legs up and then started the screaming process. When we woke up in the morning (up every hour 1/2 through the night!!) she seemed a lot better however night time has come round again and she’s looking uncomfortable. I’ve been giving her lots of water to stop her getting dehydrated and she’s been taking her milk little but often. Again, she’s been on top form most of the day. No fever ect, just a slightly raised temp of 37.5 but nothing that would concern me. I’ve rang 111 to speak to out of hours GP as it’s the weekend and she told me to just calpol her up and keep an eye on her. She’s poo’d (also passing gas but poop at the same time as that) around 8+ times today. I’ve given her some banana as read that can settle stomach but now been told that can cause constipation (just half a banana this lunch time!) and nothing else as thought better to have an empty stomach for 24 hours...
Any advice on helping her tummy pains? I just feel calpol would be doing more trouble than good for a tummy ache/bug. I know there are a lot of bugs going around at the moment but honestly broke my heart last night not being able to help or console her.
