Hi, I'm looking for any help or reassurance I can get. My 18 month old has Started screaming when I put him to bed. Nothing has changed about his routine or his bed time and he's completely happy until I put him in his cot then he just starts screaming. He only stops when I lift him and I end up sitting with him until he falls asleep then as soon as I put him down he wakes up and Starts screaming again. This can happen constantly For hours and I'm really struggling to cope. Most of all because it's just me he does this for. My husband works 5 evenings a week and when he comes home at around 11 he just tells our son it's time to sleep and he Goes down straight away quietly. My mother in law babysat last night and he went down no problem for her. Last week I stayed with my mum when my husband was away and he woke and cried during the night. I tried settling him for an hour and then woke my mum who came in, lay him down and off he went to sleep straight away. I'm currently pregnant with our second child, I work and I'm exhausted. I'm feeling so anxious about having to deal with this every night and I really need help. It's not that I'm not firm with him, I'm stricter with him than anyone else. I've sleep trained and let him cry. I just don't know when this will end or how to end it...
