Have another thread about new-born nappies and these are the 2 that have been suggested!

What are your experiences, what do you prefer?

Bimbles!!!

Had a diddy diaper (size 2) and it wasn't up to much as I recall, but that was down to ds2's shape I think.

nappyzone · 04/09/2007 21:27

do diddy dipers have a pocket to boost ? this is what i like about the bimbles as when baby older and a super peer you can boost it.

I love diddy diapers. Used a variety on my babies, but with no.4 I stuck with diddy diapers. They don't have a pocket, but they are quite cheap and they fitted well on my little one. I also managed to sell them on, so got half my money back.

I really like diddy diapers plus for a short term nappy that only fits for a few months they are more affordable than bimbles. The diddys are really absorbent.

claireybee · 05/09/2007 11:15

Bimbles! Had a couple of diddy diapers for dd and really didnt like them. Found they were crap on containment and not very absorbant either

pinkrangerstartstowaddle · 05/09/2007 12:48

Hi pinkranger...I've got a bimble and I love it dearly (it seems to be DDs favourite nappy for pooing in as well ). I tried a range of different little nappies, and it is definately one of my faves (and it was only sent by default as Flame was out of diddy diapers...). I'll definately be getting some bumbles when she's ready for them!!

hope you are well, I've not dipped into the MC thread for a while!!

pinkrangerstartstowaddle · 06/09/2007 17:31

BIMBLES!!!!!!!!!! I know you said flame but i love em! Will stock as soon as i have funds - still dont get diff between them and bumbles but there you go!

FlameBatfink · 06/09/2007 20:25

Yup Bimbles here too

They are flat compared to the bumbles

nappyzone · 06/09/2007 20:25

my lardy is 21lb and is in the bimbles size 2 - what would be the diff being in a bumble size 2 i wonder

nappyzone · 06/09/2007 20:26

flat?

pinkrangerstartstowaddle · 06/09/2007 20:31

Bimbles it is!!!!!!!

Belly Button looks dryer this evening so may give it a go tomorrow! ( i have 2 bimbles already)
If im honest a little nervous as i only used Disposables on ds and am a little scared of leakage and using the nippa!!

I have small motherease Velcro wraps, will these be ok?

I would have ABSOLUTE NO IDEA without MN

sounds fine to me - they are lovely, i use empty through day when run out of regular pockets and stuff to the hilt on a night and hes as snug as a bug (with a weeble butt!). Happy little Bimbles ahhh! almost makes me broody!

FlameBatfink · 06/09/2007 20:37

The edges are flatter

nappyzone · 06/09/2007 20:40

oh - and thats all - so like the bimbles are a bit borderline frilly on the leg edges the bumbles are more masculine would you say lol!? I feel a purchase coming on (incidently my bumhugger arrived after 10 days so am dying to get that on him tomorow night having been prewashed a trillion times - looks good in aplix). (sorry for hijackunrelated to bimbles and diddy diapers but am ecited about new fluff)

FlameBatfink · 06/09/2007 20:57

Absorbency on both is the same - same layers of terry. The difference is that if you check a bumble you will see it is stitched and then turned - this gives a good snug fit around the legs but the turning does add to any bulkiness of the nappy. Bimbles have the stitching on the outside so are not 'turned', therefore slightly trimmer.

maveta · 07/09/2007 07:46

Another vote for bimbles, they are so cute and trim on a little baby. Diddy diapers are cheaper and last for longer so depending on what criteria is important to you, they may rate higher. But I liked bimbles (by 11 weeks he was out of them though ?)

pinkrangerstartstowaddle · 07/09/2007 11:42

may seem like a silly question, do have disposable liners but would like some fleece for night time when he starts to sleep a bit longer, where do i get them from, any best ones??

OP posts:
nappyzone · 07/09/2007 19:38

you can hack up an old fleece blanket which is probs your cheapest option or you can buy them through most sellers
