newborn has a cold??

my baby is 3 weeks old and he's started sounding really snotty and he's coughing ever so slightly it's not a bad cough (yet) is this serious or am i just being silly?? i'm a ftm so i have a lot to learn he's still feeling fine and his breathing sounds okay! TIA xx

As long as he’s bright and alert at times and is feeding well and doesn’t seem in distress, I wouldn’t worry. If it is a cold, it will be th3 first of many

But SnuffeBaby & some nasal drops. Both help unblock noses

Also steam hells so take baby into steamed up bathroom

Defo second nasal drops/ spray for babies. Esp before a feed.
I put a few drops of olbas round their cot at night too to help.
