reusable nappies at night for toddlers

So my 3 year old still can't go through the night without a nappy.
Her nappy is really heavy at night (because I think she is holding it in the day..)and every time I use reusable nappies with the extra thick night time reusable nappy she still leaks- any suggestions, please?
And tips for weaning her off the night nappy?? the potty training seems never-ending meh!!

Why is she holding it in during the day? If you can address that, your nighttime wetting issues might work themselves out too.

Have you tried restricting fluids before bedtime and waking her to take her to the toilet when you go up to bed?

I'd start by addressing the holding wee in the day as that's not healthy anyway.

DD was holding poo during the day, waiting to do it in her nighttime nappy.

The thing that's worked for us in the end is a star chart (yes, that old chestnut I'm afraid!). She gets a star for every poo in the potty and two stars for a poo in the toilet. The chart has roughly 50 squares. At the halfway mark she got a new book and once its full she'll get a new toy.

I'm really not into bribery, but I'd tried pretty much everything else I could think of!

Now that DD has got into the habit of using potty/toilet during the day the stars have actually become a bit inconsequential. We just needed some incentive at the outset.

Night dryness is hormonal- you can't force that
