Who just hit the post button!

Basically prem baby, can't put him down in cot as ten minutes later he cries. I'm 3 months into night shifts which means at least I get 5 hrs in the evening, but when will it end? Just hoping weaning will help!

Are you breast feeding? Have you tried anti reflux milk if not? Reflux is awful, but combi feeding saved my sanity!
Sorry to hear you’re having a rough time

Thank you, yes I am breast feeding but I'm lucky enough to be able to express a feed for the evening to get some sleep!

Have you looked into CMPA and soya allergy.

Have you spoken to your doctor? My DD had reflux, she would squirm & cry when feeding, then cry after feeding, bring back milk mixed with a clear fluid (acid) & generally was horribly unsettled for a couple hours after feeding.

Had a good chat to my doctor around 3 months & we started on gaviscon & omeprazole. She was like a different baby, I couldn’t believe it. Took a couple days but suddenly, she fed like she was starving, would actually nap down in her Snuz & suddenly became this happy, cheery baby!

Weaning was also helpful for us. We started on purées at 5 months on the advice of our doctor. We still took the meds but the food stayed down and seemingly kept the milk she had before eating down with it. Once she got onto more solids at 6 months, we were able to stop the gaviscon as she just wasn’t as sick. We stayed on omeprazole until 10 months, at which point she was down to two bottles of milk & a range of meals.

She still sometimes gets a bit heartburny I think, she’s two now.. she’ll burp after some milk and her eyes water & she grimaces! But otherwise, she’s all good!

Thank you both.No I haven't really considered allergies just because he was fine for a few weeks after he was born (at 33 weeks) it was just when he took more milk it became a problem.

I've experimented with gaviscon but only really giving one sachet at night with the bottle but I'm worried about giving him constipation as when I upped it to two he stopped pooping as much. I'm really pinning my hopes on weaning. I'd really like to co sleep but as he's a prem baby I know this is a big no no
