7wo Abdominal discomfort

Morning all

My 7 week old has periods (often 3/4am, although is actually doing is right now too) where he seems extremely uncomfortable in his tummy - he is groaning loudly and often on the verge of crying, while he turns red and appears to be straining. This might last for an hour or so. He is exclusively breast fed (although with nipple shields as couldn’t latch otherwise - tongue tie dealt with), has lots of wet and dirty nappies each day.

We use infacol before feeds as he was struggling with burping and this Issue seems better. I’ve tried making sure I feed him in a slightly head up position and spending longer on burping.

Is there anything else I can try to make him more comfortable or is it just one of those things? Cycling his legs and tummy rubs help sometimes

TIA
