My 7 year old DD is driving me insane. She has just had a full on tantrum in the supermarket because her top got a drip of water on it (news flash it's raining). Before that it was because her socks and leggings weren't "perfect" I.e. how she wanted them. Yesterday it was because of something else (forgotten), the day before it was because her first name isn't Lilly and she didn't have as much lasagna as the rest of us for dinner 2 nights before that. Every day. Sometimes Proper tears. Sometimes tantrums. But every day. I am normally calm, and loving but today I lost my shit.

My mum is due to have major surgery this week. I cannot handle that and this. I also have having tests to rule our ovarian cancer.

She knows nana is having surgery. She doesn't know about me.

Just remembered yesterday's tantrum; it wasn't fair because I can go on a rollercoaster because I'm an adult but she can't. Just now it was because her sister got her a glass of water rather than me. What on Earth is going on?

Is this a change from her usual behaviour? Could she be anxious about your mum or school? Is she usually ok in holidays or does she find the lack of routine a struggle?
