8 month old - terrible noise

My 8mo has decided to make this god awful noise. Sounds like she's got something in her throat. Akin to a cat trying to cough up a hair ball. Pretty sure she hasn't as she's been fine for the majority of the day.

Anyone else's babes do this?! 🤔🤷‍♀️

Have you had a look just to make sure there’s nothing in her mouth/throat?

If not then yeah they make all manner of weird and wonderful noises at this age!

Yes! My 7 month old does this. She also does something which sounds like a desperate gasp for air - which she finds particularly hilarious (but which makes me panic every time if I’m not looking directly at her at the time!) 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yes, well as much as she will let me!! Shes currently laying down on a pillow playing with her toes. She hasn't made the noise in the past 30 minutes or so and it's just been sporadically throughout the day!

My 2yo still makes the most awful noise when he's going to sleep or is half awake. I don't even understand where the noise comes from!

DT2 sounded like a warthog for his first year. It was enlarged adenoids but then it just got better gradually until he was 2 when it stopped.
