Not sure if right place! - Sunken fontanelles

Hi there!

I'm probably being paranoid! My little one is 8 weeks on Thursday, recently her soft spots been slightly sunken but mostly when she is sat on her bum up right, I see it pulsing! I know the warning sign is if it bulges out.

She exclusively breastfed and has plenty of wet nappies (had one dry one which concerned me but then did two big wees while I was changing her 🙄)

Anyone else found that when they are sat up right or feeding its slightly sunken? Should I get a gp appointment or can anyone reassure me this is completely normal?

Thanks (first time, very much a big worrier of a mum)

Oh love! You're me last month! My ex-doctor dad told me that a sunken fontanelle was a sign of dehydration and i spent HOURS stroking DDs head to see if she was OK after a tummy bug... what he failed to tell me is that you can only test that lying down! The fontanelle will always appear a little sunken when baby is sitting up, because gravity. Lie her down and check then :)

Hiya really Lilly! That was my main question! When laying flat it's all fine so I'm assuming all is OK! Thank you for putting my mind at ease! X
