DD will be 1 at the end of the month.

We’ve got her some toys but was hoping to get her something sentimental but not too expensive that she can keep.

Any suggestions?

Get a Peekaboo puzzle, they're amazing! It's basically 5 photos you've chosen and it gets turned into a lovely puzzle. I've given some as presents and everyone seems to really like them as they look lovely, you can keep them forever and can be played with.

We did something a little different but memorable. We asked our family to write her birthday cards for when she's 16. So they can write messages, letters etc for her now, which she'll open in 15 years' time!

We thought it a lovely idea because not everyone will be around to wish her a happy 16th and it's definitely something she'll remember!

I got both my children a photo book full of pictures of them with various family members. Photo box make board books that are affordable and my kids love them both when they turned 1 as they smiled at all the photos and now one of them is older she loves it as some of the family pictured with her are no longer with us. It's a nice tool to talk about them.

A nice wooden height chart that you can mark as she grows.
A photo frame in which you can put a picture of her eating birthday cake/opening presents etc..
Money box
