I have no idea which thread to post this on - please advise! Interested to hear from people living in Gosforth -we’re moving there in summer - my husband’s job. Is it easy to get to beach - do people tend to go to beach in summer? Keen to have lifestyle change & experience coastal weekend life! Is Gosforth good place for teenagers? My two only primary but we’ll hopefully be staying put so thinking ahead to teenage years! Is there a good coffee shop vibe - I work from home so like to have local community/coffee shops etc for my lunch break otherwise I go all day without interacting with anyone!! Any info re. Gosforth living would be great - thanks

Great coffee shops, super easy metro ride to the beach lots of organised classes etc.

Terrible parking.

Look at the coast too. Whitley Bay, Tynemouth and Cullercoats.

I work from home too and often prefer to head over to Gosforth high street rather than Newcastle city centre when I need to get out, it's less busy, great coffee shops, an Asda, loads of charity shops if you like that kind of thing! Also a huge playground/park for the kids. V easy to get the beach on the metro.

That sounds great! I like a little wonder around a good high street.

I loved gosforth - moved back home but it’s def the best place to be.

I don’t know Gosforth I am not too far away. A lovely big beach at Tynemouth and absolutely loads of lovely big beaches in Northumberland which won’t be too far away. I am very envious of your move.

Grew up in Kenton which is up the road from gosforth, the my mam moved to gosforth when I left home at 18. It’s a fairly nice area, nice park, nice high street with pubs, coffee shops, gym, independent shops. Lots of buses to town and a metro station aswell to get you to the coast or other parts of Newcastle.
