I recently got one of these seats for my ds and was wondering if anyone knew of any saddlebags / pannier bags that were compatible with it, or do i have to get a basket? The guy in my local bike shop thought it would have to be a basket but i thought it might be worth checking on here first.

I think you're stuck with front panniers, or a basket. You can use a backpack, although it tends to annoy your passenger, ime.

Just consider all the exta load on the back of the bike TBH, may make it unstable. I used a Rhode Gear myself and I found getting on and off a balancing act without the extra weight of panniers. Front panniers or a front basket maybe better.

Front panniers only can make for a very unstable ride, best to borrow some and try them out first, see if you can manage.

I tried a rucksack but that just annoyed ds, allthough playing with that did stop him playing with the waistband of my trousers. Didn't really think about the extra weight either, although i'm never going to be carrying very much.

I'll prob get a basket, cheapest and easiest option by the looks of things.
