Absent father - Has another child

So my children's father has been absent in their life since he got another partner, so for over a year now.
I tried taking him to mediation and offering him visitation from my solicitor to him and he refused all.
But I've just found out he has had another child.. Does this change anything?
If we went to court would he have an upper hand now my children have another sibling? Even though he hasn't bothered for so long?
Anyone been in this situation?

I'm not sure what you mean by upper hand?

If he decides he wants to parent then you would likely be ordered to let him, but the new child doesn't change that. All it changes is how much CMS would tell him to give you, and substantially if he doesn't live with the new babys mother.

@DivGirl
He doesn't pay any CMS for the 2 we have together, so that wouldn't change lol.
No I just worry now he's had another child he might change his mind about these 2 despite not being in their life for over a year or even asking how they are, or taking me up on any off my offers to have them.
So I would be devastated if courts ruled in his favour because their is a sibling.
Thanks anyway
