Grobag - what to wear?

Got a 2.5 tog grobag as 3 week old DS keeps kicking off blanket but what should he wear underneath? Room is 20 degrees. He's usually in a short-sleeved vest, sleepsuit and crocheted blanket. Thanks!

Should he even be in a gro bag I thought there was a minimum weight limit generally newborns are in gro snugs as these are designed from birth.

Is the gro bag new as they also come with a guide on what to wear under them? If not you can Google gro bag what to wear and it'll bring up the guide for you.

DS (19mths) is currently in a 2.5tog growbag with just a sleepsuit but his room is 22-23degrees.
I'd say a sleepsuit & short sleeved vest would be fine.
You can check out the advice on Gro's website though.

DS has been in grobags from about 4 weeks. So long as his head can't slip in the neck hole you're fine. He wears a sleeveless vest and sleepsuit under his.

Or is it a grosnug? They are suitable for newborns

DHs has a short sleeved vest, babygro and gro bag currently.

Minimum weight is 8lb 13, he's 9lb 2 and head can't slip through the neck hole Smile

I'll try a vest and sleepsuit then and see how he goes - thanks everyone! Smile

DD has always worn a gro bag and we’ve always just followed the what to wear guide a PP has posted.

I got really paranoid in the beginning that she would be too warm so I followed it religiously Hmm

Mine is in a sleep suit under a 2.5 bag in a 19-20 degree room. Grobags are suitable from a certain weight, not age, at his weight he’s fine.
