My son just ate half a dentistix... not sure what to do. I’ve googled and it seems it will be ok. Any ideas if I need to do anything? X

As in dog tooth cleaning chomp stick?
Most pet food also has to be for human consumption I'm led to believe. Unless your son starts barking at the postman or chasing cars I think he will be ok.
Was it original or minted ?

They will probably end up with an upset tummy! Most food for dogs are safe for humans to eat! My DH eats the dogs biscuits! 😂

Ginge35 · 29/01/2020 19:08

Just to add, we have a dog! 😝 just read it back and realised how weird it sounded! Haha! 🤪

Aha apparently it’s good for their teeth Wink

I have to say this made me laugh a little 🤣
They will be fine, as @Ginge35 says they may just have a bit of a sore tummy. Which will hopefully teach them to avoid eating the dogs treats again lol!

Thanks both. Glad it’s nothing to worry about.
@drinkingwineoutofamug original. My pups won’t touch the minted ones despite them smelling sooo much more pleasant x

My DD loved Friskies cat biscuits (on occasion).

Monsterjam · 29/01/2020 19:29

He was so upset I took it off him I might give the bloody thing back if he doesn’t chill out soon x

My 15 month old did the same yesterday!! Since he won't let me brush his teeth without a meltdown, thought it could only be a good thing!!! Also, he is OBSESSED with eating cat biscuits. He'll always find a stray one or two on the floor. Sigh.

JustOneLastThing · 29/01/2020 19:36

At least he'll have clean teeth Grin

BlueWonder · 29/01/2020 19:38

The ingredients might be safe for humans but I worked in a dog treat factory once and the storage and handling conditions etc weren't as stringent as for human food. Not good as a regular habit Smile

GiveHerHellFromUs · 29/01/2020 19:39

@Ginge35 the fact you've had a dog doesn't make that less weird 😂

Monsterjam · 29/01/2020 19:39

@JustOneLastThing this is true. The dentist is going to his nursery tomorrow to talk about teeth cleaning 🤞he doesn’t mention this cheeky method!

*you have not you've had!

Kanga83 · 29/01/2020 19:39

At least you know he has clean teeth for bedGrin hope he doesn't get tummy ache, but he will be fine.
