What are some fab newborn non-essentials? ? ?

So there are plenty of items out there that are deemed useless.. We have all the bare essentials for DS2's arrival in March, but what are some fun/ very handy things you've purchased that aren't on every essentials list but you definitely got use out of?

My babymoov sleepy night light - not much of a night light but the white noise/heartbeat etc really helps settle little one
A portable night light, we have one that changes changes colour and brightness and we can take it anywhere, its perfect when moving round without having to turn the lights on.
A mummy backpack. The one that came with our travel system just didnt cut it so we bought the backpack that has all the different compartments.
