Hyperactive toddler

I know in my heart that my 3 year old son is not autistic or has adhd but when my dh has a day off, he is acting so hyperactive that he wont calm down and I can't calm him down and he is now doing it with nursery people and the coach from rugby where he will no listen to them, me, his dad or grandparents. I have lost all will and patience. My ds is fine when it is just us sometimes but then he changes again. I need some advice on what to do. This can't go on forever. I love spending time as a family but my ds ruins it everytime we are together.

Does he still have a nap during the day? I find my 3 year old gets overtired when she doesnt sleep enough and can get irrational and hyperactive.

Sometimes he does some days. He fight naps and tells us he don't want naps like today when dad is here. But I find when he has them, he is more calmer. Nursery has cut them out completely. My DH doesn't follow though when I put him for a nap because he is crying. I tell DH to leave him be but he didn't today. Total fail.

I find mine to be like a Labrador, if he doesn't get two decent walks a day he drives everyone mental.

It's hard, but it's hopefully not forever.
